Blogs are all over the internet.  They really took off when people started to use them for commercial purposes.  They have gained more popularity because of people “blogging for profit” as I like to call it. Today almost anyone with an internet connection can blog for money.

If are a little more experienced you can make money from your blog via affiliate programs. This is where you get paid a commission when people purchase a product via your affiliate link. There are many affiliate networks like CJ, Linkshare, shareasale and clickbank that aggregate vendors who offer affiliate programs.

Another less popular blogging for profit option is to solicit contributions.  Basically, this means asking your readers to support your blog.  There are ways in which you can get donations through. Paypal, egold and some other internet payment methods are some of these payment processes.

But while is relatively easy to set up and monetize a blog using a blogging service like Blogger or Wordpress, it’s much harder to actually get traffic to your blog. Without traffic you will not make much money.
