WordPress Goldmine is a unique product in this set of reviews in that underneath he covers, it’s not really a book about blogging. Instead, it’s a book on how you can you use Wordpress blogs to earn a secondary income with affiliate programs. The author’s approach is both hype-free and realistic.

WordPress Goldmine covers many of the common topics in a blogging / make money online book, but does so in a slightly different format than most other books.The book starts with the usual topics of domains, setting up WordPress, and the like; and then moves on to filling that blog with content using the traditional methods, including outsourcing and private label rights.With that out of the way, the author gets into the specifics of how to monetize your blog through affiliate offers primarily. The monetization section is quite extensive in comparison to the ratios seen in other books. The final two sections in the book cover the typical traffic and web 2.0 topics areas.It’s important to understand that WordPress Goldmine is not a book on blogging. Rather, it’s a book on making money online, and it so happens that the approach recommended is through the use of blogs. That is, if you are looking to blogs as a way to make money online, this book will likely be a good fit. But if you are looking to become a professional blogger, you would be wise to consider a blogging learning package.Finding objective information about WordPress Goldmine will be difficult for anyone looking for it. Unfortunately, there seem to be (literally) hundreds of results for “honest” reviews that contain either exactly the same text, or substantially similar content, indicative of content that has been copied from an approved sales letter.

This is a solid book on learning to use blogs to make money with affiliate programs and it is remarkably hype-free. Considering that, it met its objectives in fine form.

Like many of the blogging books reviewed, there will still be technical hurdles to overcome to implement the methods covered in the book.

Value for Money
The bonuses are useful and add value to the package, but the price tag is still steeper than I would expect for this information.
